Advanced Design-In Features

1. Ceramic Arc Chamber & Inert Gas Sealing

At voltages up to 1500VDC, interrupting high DC current creates intense electrical arcs that can destroy standard contacts. The CHV500 utilizes a hermetically sealed ceramic arc chamber filled with inert hydrogen/argon gas, paired with magnetic arc blowouts. This combination elongates and extinguishes the arc rapidly, preventing contact oxidation over the product lifecycle: a critical factor for achieving 10+ year field reliability in unattended installations.

2. Dual-Coil Economizer

Thermal management is vital in dense power cabinets. The CHV500 comes standard with an integrated dual-coil economizer. After the initial pull-in phase, internal circuitry drops coil power consumption to under 5W, significantly reducing thermal dissipation and extending operational longevity.

3. Non-Polarized Power Terminals

Engineering flexibility matters. The CHV500 features non-polarized M6 female power terminals. Current can flow in either direction, simplifying layout design in bidirectional energy storage and regenerative braking applications.
